Backdrop:
This song marks an in-between jobs period. It also acknowledges God at work again, the Potter and the Clay. Gold Leaf is my translated Chinese given name hence significance of the verses, “gold needs refining, leaf yields flexibility” introspection.
pendulum of life
many ways to skin a cat many points of view many ways to place your bet many interpretations of a cue
Lord plucked me from the cocoon dunked me into harsh realities nothing sweeps better than new broom that endures fatalities
gold needs refining leaf yields flexibility faith needs re-affirming to blow with winds in symphony

Backdrop:
Yet another trial period - after a detour to taste a sales and consulting services job, I discovered aspects of that job that were not exactly my cup of tea. I could not recruit bodies to sell services that I didn’t believe in, with a clear conscience.
the road taken
what a forboding day ‘tis when we parted ways
knew the model ain't working knew gotta get out of the box
lived dangerously making lemonade from lemons fighting undesirable behaviors and demons
looking back, a year full of learning a year of paid-training
a year of understanding others in transition a lesson of life and hope in delicate tension
building strength in face of geriatric phase what not to be and career-aging with grace
